Your satisfaction is important to us, and we strive to ensure that each customer feels supported and confident when purchasing from our store. This Refund and Return Policy explains in detail how returns, refunds, and exchanges are handled so that you can shop with complete clarity and peace of mind.

General Overview

Because every ShivasVintage product is handmade in small batches, slight variations in texture, color tone, or stitching are natural and are considered part of the unique character of our bags. These variations are not defects. However, if the item you received does not meet your expectations or arrives with a genuine fault, we are committed to resolving the issue fairly and promptly.

Eligibility for Returns

To qualify for a return, the following conditions must be met:

  1. The item must be unused, unworn, and in the same condition in which you received it.

  2. All original packaging, tags, and protective materials must be included.

  3. A return request must be submitted within 14 days of receiving your order.

  4. Proof of purchase—such as an order confirmation email or receipt—is required.

We reserve the right to deny returns that show signs of wear, damage, odors, stains, or alterations. Items returned in compromised condition may be shipped back to the customer.

Non-Returnable Items

To ensure product integrity and safety, the following items are not eligible for return:

  • Customized or personalized orders

  • Final-sale or clearance items

  • Gift cards

  • Items purchased from unauthorized third-party sellers

If an item is marked as “non-returnable” at the time of purchase, all sales are final.

Return Process

Include your order number, the reason for return, and photos of the item if applicable. After reviewing your request, we will provide detailed instructions, including the return address and guidelines for packaging the item securely.

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to an error on our part (such as receiving an incorrect or defective item). We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service to ensure safe delivery of the returned package. ShivasVintage is not responsible for lost return shipments.

Refunds

Once your returned item is delivered to our facility, please allow 5–7 business days for inspection. After the inspection is completed, you will receive an email notification regarding approval or rejection of your refund.

If approved, refunds will be issued to the original method of payment. Please note:

  • Processing times may vary depending on your bank or credit card provider.

  • Shipping fees are non-refundable, except when the return is due to our error.

  • We do not offer refunds in the form of cash, checks, or alternative payment methods.

If your refund is delayed beyond 10 business days after approval, please contact your payment provider first, then reach out to us for additional support.

Exchanges

If you wish to exchange an item for a different color or style, please contact us within 14 days of receipt. Because our items are handmade in limited quantities, availability cannot be guaranteed. If the requested item is out of stock, you may choose a refund or store credit.

Customers are responsible for shipping costs to return the original item; we cover shipping for the replacement item sent back to you.

Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive an item that appears damaged or defective upon arrival, please contact us immediately at heip@shivasvintage.com with clear photos or videos of the issue. We will prioritize your case and provide repair, replacement, or refund options depending on the situation.

Damage resulting from improper care, misuse, or normal wear and tear is not considered a defect. Leather and fabric may develop natural changes in texture, tone, and softness over time—these traits are part of the handmade and vintage-inspired nature of our products.

Order Cancellations

Orders can be canceled within 12 hours of purchase. After this window, we may have already begun preparing or processing your item, and cancellation may not be possible. If you wish to cancel, contact us immediately; we will accommodate your request when feasible.

Store Credits

If you prefer a store credit instead of a refund, please indicate this in your return request. Credits do not expire and may be used toward any item currently available in our store.

International Returns

For customers outside the United States:

  • Return shipping fees, customs duties, and taxes are the responsibility of the customer.

  • We do not reimburse international shipping costs.

  • Packages that incur unpaid duties or fees may be rejected or returned to the sender.

We recommend checking your local regulations before returning an item from abroad.
